Ale co tam autor! On już swoje zrobił, interpretacja należy do odbiorców. Posypały się komentarze. No bo przecież historia zaczyna się, kiedy królik już w tym mieszkaniu jest, nie ma mowy, żeby nagle się w nim pojawił i zburzył jakiś porządek. Królik musi być alegorią pewnych aspołecznych nawyków jego właściciela. Autor przytakuje:
